Thembalitsha Foundation

Supporter’s Story

Over the last 25 years, we have had amazing supporters across the globe, many of whom have hosted fundraisers and gathered family and friends to support Thembalitsha Foundation. The Miller Family is one great example:

John and Rona Miller, have undertaken many fundraising expeditions in support of Thembalitsha Foundation, over the past decade. Their tandem cycle trips took them through many parts of Europe, then from Vancouver to San Diego. They spoke at a number of churches, participated in TV interviews, and helped spread love, hope and awareness all the way on their amazing journey. They even took the Thembalitsha mascot, Thembi Teddy along on some of their trips. Up until today our projects and beneficiaries are still enjoying the fruits of their labour. What an amazing example of raising and sharing “new hope”.

When translated from Xhosa, our name “Thembalitsha” means “new hope”.

Our Aim

At Thembalitsha, we aim to restore and bring a new sense of hope to the destitute, forgotten and vulnerable people of the Western and Eastern Cape.
